Prayer For My Husband To Have Money

Is your husband struggling financially? One of the things that God redeemed us from is poverty. Although Jesus was rich in spirit, he became poor so that through His poverty, we could become rich (For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 2 Cor. 8:9). Thus, we must eliminate our poverty mindset and avoid thinking that we don’t have enough. Claim abundance for your husband’s life through this prayer:

Almighty God, I believe in Your finished work on the Cross. You became poor so that we may become rich. I release my husband from the poverty mindset, in Jesus’ name! Teach him to depend on You, Lord. Remind him that You have come so that we may have an abundant life. For this, I pray. Amen. 

Five Prayers for Your Husband to Have Money

Whatever our problems are, we must not hesitate to offer our petitions to the Lord (Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil. 4:6). Praying is a way of acknowledging His sovereignty and power. If your husband has huge debts or needs financial help, remember that our God is the God who provides (But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19). Below are five prayers you can utter over your husband for his financial success:

1. Pray for wisdom

We must remember that everything we have comes from God, including our finances. If your spouse doesn’t know how to handle money, you can ask the Lord for wisdom (Jm. 1:5). He will instruct him on what to do. Aside from that, God will also give your husband the ability to produce wealth (But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Deut. 8:18). Ask God for wisdom with the following prayer:

Abba Father, grant my husband wisdom in handling his finances. Help him remember that all the things we have are Yours. Fill his heart with love and contentment so that he will seek You more and more. I renounce selfishness, discontentment, greediness, and materialism in his heart, in Jesus’ name! 

Give him the wisdom to create wealth for Your glory and to advance Your kingdom. Guide him to the path of righteousness, Father, and protect his heart from the love of money. When he experiences abundance, remind him that You are his greatest treasure. Thank You for Your love and grace towards my spouse. All the praise and honor belong to You alone, Abba. Amen. 

2. Pray for faith

The Lord promised us a life of abundance through our Lord Jesus Christ ( The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10). However, there are times when our faith will be tested. There will be seasons of financial struggle, but instead of complaining, we must rejoice, as trials lead to perseverance. Ask the Lord to increase Your spouse’s faith. Once he overcomes the adversities, you can expect a financial breakthrough in his life:

Heavenly Father, increase my husband’s faith during these trying times. Help him hold on to Your Word and Your promises. Teach him to fix his eyes on You alone and not on the circumstances that surround him. Although he seems lacking, remind him that You already won against poverty so that we may experience abundance.

I renounce the unbelief in my husband’s heart, in Jesus’ name! I put to silence all the lies and the confusion the enemy is putting in his mind. Let his confidence and hope rest upon You, Father. Continue to prepare my husband for greater things. Thank You for Your overflowing love toward us, Lord. Amen.

3. Pray for generosity

The principle of the world is to keep money and gain more. However, in God’s economy, we must give more to have more. We must remember that God loves a cheerful giver (Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Cor. 9:7). As we sow more, we can also expect to reap in the harvest season (Gal. 6:9). Below is a prayer asking God to grant your husband a giver’s heart:

Almighty God, give my husband a generous heart like Yours. Reveal to him the beauty of giving to others. As he gives, let joy and peace overflow in his heart. Break the poverty mindset and remind him that he has more than enough because of You. Increase my husband’s desire to be a blessing to other people so that he can give glory to Your Name.

Whatever prevents my husband from having a generous heart, I renounce it. I rebuke the fear, unbelief, and selfishness in him, in the mighty name of Jesus! Let there be peace in his heart every day, reminding him that You are the God who provides and blesses us all. With You, he will never lack. For this, I pray. Amen. 

4. Pray for favor

We must depend on God for everything, even in earning money. Instead of falling into get-rich-quick schemes ( Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. Prov. 13:11), we must trust the ways of the Lord. If your husband needs money, ask for God’s favor. Whether running a business, pursuing his passion, or being an employee, you can expect breakthroughs and promotions as a result. Declare God’s favor upon your spouse through the prayer below: 

Dear Lord, may Your favor be upon my husband. In whatever he does, let him prosper. Lead him to the path You want him to travel. Open new opportunities in his life so that he may glorify You, Lord. Teach my husband to listen to You and seek Your will each day, Almighty God. Grant him a humble and obedient heart.

Protect my husband against the many evil schemes of the enemy. I renounce confusion, lies, and deception in Jesus’ name! Help him discern what opportunities come from You, Lord. Whenever he faces obstacles, teach him to depend on You rather than on his own strength and righteousness. I will bless Your Name forever, Lord. Amen. 

5. Pray for the cancellation of debts

Is your husband struggling because of huge debts? Many people with large debts must work extra hours or take up side hustles, robbing them of rest. They may also suffer from anxiety and worry. If your husband is drowning in debt, ask for God’s help. He is willing to extend His hand and free us (Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Gal. 5:1). Below is a prayer to cancel your husband’s debts:

Almighty God, rescue my husband from his financial struggles. I declare the cancellation of his debts, in Jesus’ name! Grant him wisdom in dealing with the people to whom he owes money. Teach him to trust in You alone, Lord. Let the peace that surpasses understanding overflow, bringing clarity to his heart, mind, and soul.

Remind my husband of Your Word, especially when he feels hopeless and afraid. May he find the strength and courage to confront every adversity that comes his way. Give my spouse a heart that is full of gratitude and contentment. May he seek You more than the riches of this world. For this, I pray. Amen. 

Conclusion

The Lord wants to bless your spouse, but you must first ask God for help, especially if your husband is struggling financially. He can provide him with wisdom to be a good steward. As you pray to God, remember that Jesus has already defeated poverty through His finished work. Victory has already been claimed for you and your family! (Rom. 8:37)
