Dear Lord,
I pray for my husband and lift him up to You, our dearest Father in heaven. I am thankful for his life and the way it enables him to be a blessing to me and everyone in his immediate surroundings. I pray that You will be with him throughout his entire life and that You will fill him with Your spirit as he goes about his daily life. May You also bless him, and may he be a conduit through which your blessings can flow to others. I speak the Scripture over his life and pray that he will be able to live according to its teachings and be completely obedient to them.
I beseech you, Lord, to bestow upon his mind all the glorious things that come from You. May he always be reminded of and reflect upon things worthy of praise, such as being noble, right, pure, loving, admirable, and excellent. Fill his heart with these things so that whatever comes from him, including his actions and words, will manifest these things in some way.
I ask, Lord, that your gentleness and manifestations be seen and felt in his life. May he be aware that you are never far from him. Do not allow him to be anxious about anything; instead, have him present his requests to you in every circumstance by praying and petitioning with thanksgiving in his heart. May Your peace, which is beyond all comprehension, keep watch over his heart and mind in the name of Jesus Christ.
Lord, it is my prayer for You to bestow Your wisdom upon him, for You are the only one who can bestow wisdom. Whatever it is that comes from his mouth, may it give knowledge and understanding to others. Be a shield for him as he walks in integrity, and guard the paths of justice that he treads.
Lord, please let my husband love me as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for it, making the church holy by cleansing her with the washing of water through the word and presenting her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, just holy and blameless. In a similar manner, may my husband love me as much as he loves his own body. May he come to understand that a man who loves his wife also loves himself. After all, no one has ever shown hatred toward their own body; rather, they nourish and take care of it, just as Christ does for the church since we are members of his body.
I ask the Lord to bless my husband with the ability to be a wonderful father to our kids. I pray that he will become a model for how to live a life centered on Christ that others can follow. We pray that he will not make our children angry but rather that he will raise them according to the Lord’s discipline and instruction.
It is my prayer, God, that my husband will dwell in Your shelter and rest in Your shadow. May he say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Save him from the fowler’s snare and from deadly pestilence. Cover him with Your feathers, and under Your wings will he find refuge; God’s faithfulness will be his shield and rampart. May he never fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys. A thousand may fall at his side, ten thousand at his right hand, but death will not come near him. He will only observe with his eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. May he say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and make the Most High his home. No harm will come near him, and no disaster will come near our tent. May the Lord command His angels to guard him in all his ways; they will lift him up in their hands so that he will not strike his foot against a stone. He will tread on the lion and the cobra and trample the great lion and the serpent. For You said, Lord, “Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Lord, this is my prayer of thanksgiving, though I believe that I already have answers to my prayer. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
How Can I Pray the Scripture Over My Husband
Prayers draw us closer to God. They can bring about the sense of a loving spiritual presence from God, which greatly affects our well-being. It elicits positive emotions of assurance and confidence in the love of God. We can have a direct line of communication with God through our prayers, which is why it’s so important that we pray without end. By praying for someone that we love, we are drawn closer into that relationship, for they will see how much we love and care for them. It is a very powerful gift you can give to your husband and loved ones.
When we pray the scriptures over our husbands, we can never go wrong, as the prayers we say come directly from God’s word, and we must be confident that He will answer them. The scriptures also serve as our compass for how we lead our lives.
1. Pray for our husbands’ lives to be rooted in Christ.
We should continually pray to God and ask him to help our husbands remain rooted in Christ. By doing this, his faith in the Lord will be strengthened, and he will mature spiritually to live a life of thanksgiving to God (6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6–7).

I pray that his faith will grow with each passing day and that he will develop an even stronger relationship with You. May his life be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may he be constantly thankful for Your faithfulness over his life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

2. Pray that our husband will only think of praiseworthy things.
By filling our lives with all that is beautiful and good, according to the will of the Lord, we are shifting our lives to do those things, for if we think of anything that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy, then so will our lives be (Philippians 4:8-9).
Dear Lord, I pray that You will touch the thoughts of my husband and fill his mind and heart with pleasing things before Your eyes so that what comes out of his life are things that are noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy. Do not let the world corrupt his heart and allow him to be drawn to sin. Thank you for the assurance of your promises and for your grace, which is always sufficient. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

3. Pray that our husbands always look to God.
We should pray that our husband will look to God as their first source of help so that he will have access to the peace that transcends all understanding. He should understand that he already has whatever he asks of the Lord (Philippians 4:5-7).
Dear Lord, I pray that my husband will look to You for whatever he may need. As my husband continues to put his faith in You, God, I pray that You will fill him with a sense of calm and hope for the future. I am thankful that You have kept my husband’s emotional and mental well-being in your sights and have made the commitment to do so. If my husband has any anxious thoughts, please remind him to surrender them to You. In the name of Jesus, I ask You to give my husband the peace and assurance that only you can provide. Amen.
4. Pray that our husbands will be given wisdom.
If we are given godly wisdom, then we will be pointed in the direction we should go. Our husband should be able to differentiate right from wrong in accordance with the will of God, and from there he will have the knowledge and understanding of which path to choose. The Lord will shield him and watch over him (Proverbs 2:6–8).
Please, Lord, bestow your wisdom on my husband. Protect him as he walks uprightly before You, and grant him the wisdom to discern what is right and wrong. We are grateful that there is no need for us to be afraid, as you have assured us that you will never abandon nor leave us. Please assist my husband in finding peace under the protection of your mighty shadow. Amen.

5. Pray that our husbands will be loving towards us.
We should ask God to make our husbands loving partners, just as Christ loved the church. May he also love us as his own, for no one has ever hated their own body, but instead they feed and care for it (Ephesians 5:25–30).
Lord, please fill my husband with Your love and all good things. May Your love for him overflow to our family, bringing joy and peace into our home. I pray that whatever difficulties we face, we will face it together with You. Fill us both with Your love so that we can love each other in return. This is my prayer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

6. Pray that our husbands are good fathers to our children.
Being a father is a crucial role, as it is their responsibility to bring their children to the Lord. Given the importance of this responsibility, we should support our husbands in prayer to give them strength (And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4).

Praying Scripture Over My Husband
God, we have faith that you will provide us with the insight and direction we require. Raise our level of faith and conviction. I pray that my husband will look to you for guidance, gain comprehension from you, and be willing to seek advice from you whenever it’s required. May he make use of this to draw our children closer to you, and may it be their heart’s desire to continue maturing in their faith and love for you. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
7. Pray for our husbands’ protection.
Saying a prayer for protection can give our husband an extra sense of security, especially if the prayer is based on scripture and God is declaring it for us. We will have assurance that the Lord will be our shield and rampart and will cover us from all harm (Psalms 91).
Dear Lord, please protect my husband with your divine covering so that no harm will befall him. Keep an eye on everything he does, from his arrival to his departure, so that no matter what threats surround him, he will not be afraid, for You will be with him. Keep him safe wherever he goes and in whatever he does. Thank you for Your promise to be our fortress. I will rest easy in Your love as I commit my husband to You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
The Scriptures have the power to calm the soul and give us peace, hope, assurance, and confidence that the Lord will be with us and that we will be victorious through God, no matter what circumstances we face. This is because the Scriptures give us assurance that the Lord will be with us. Simply having faith in God and putting our full trust in him is all that is required of us, as it is written in his promise that he will never abandon us nor turn his back on us (And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8).
