Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Lord, we thank you, because no matter what circumstances we may find our life right now, whether we are in a comfortable or an uncomfortable situation, a favorable or an unfavorable one, a situation full of hope or a hopeless situation, you are a sovereign God who holds all things and works all things together for the good of us. Always teach our hearts to trust you and submit to your will especially in seemingly hard circumstances where it is hard to do so. But we thank you because if ever we find it hard, we will have the strength in Christ that will enable us to do so. This we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
