Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Father, we know that whenever we have sinned, it is not actually the person who we grieve and offend, but actually, it is you. Sinner as we are, we are still works in progress, and still commit mistakes. But Lord, I thank you because despite committing mistakes, it does not mean that that is who we are. Because of your mercy and grace in our lives, we can have a clean heart, a heart where you are the one enthroned on it and a pure heart which will always seek to incline itself to your statutes and commandments. All because of your grace and without your grace we are nothing. Always give us the graces we need, this we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
