How to Pray for My Husband’s Deliverance

Does addiction enslave your husband? Vices and sinful habits don’t only destroy our physical bodies but they also bring about condemnation that affects our relationship with God. Abba Father, You are the only One Who can set my husband free from all his addictions. Let Your power move in his life. I rebuke his substance addiction, in Jesus’ Name! I cancel all his urges to drink and ingest harmful substances. Through the authority You have given me, I bind the spirit of addiction and let loose the spirit of freedom. For this, I pray. Amen.

Prayer against pornography

Pornography brings guilt and condemnation; besides that, it ruins the relationship of married couples. As the Word of God commands, the marriage bed of couples must not be defiled ( Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Heb.13:4 ESV). The union between husband and wife must be kept holy by not thinking about or imagining being with other people. It is not God’s will for us to be sickly and weak. He has given us a strong and healthy body, but it can be corrupted because of our negligence and our fallen world. The Lord wants your husband to be firm in his decisions as the head of the family. He must stand on what is true and detest what is unholy in God’s sight. However, there are times that the enemy would confuse your spouse. The Bible describes double-minded people as waves tossed by the wind (James 1:6-8). Instead of achieving God’s will, your husband’s indecisiveness may result in chaos. Here is a prayer to renounce your husband’s double-mindedness:

Father, help my husband be firm in his decisions. May he stand on what is true and pleasing to You. I renounce the confusion in his life, in Jesus’ Name!
