Marriage is as essential to God as it is vital to His sons and daughters. As your Father in heaven, He wants the best partner for you. However, you must pray to God that He’ll give You a discerning heart. Many women married the wrong man because they failed to listen and obey the Lord. Here is a prayer for a righteous husband:

God will never give you a bad husband, but He will prepare the best for you! Above all else, the Lord values marriage because it is His idea ( That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. Gen. 2:24). He knows how important it is to unite with the right man. The enemy may send ungodly men who entice you with their wealth, knowledge, eloquent speech, and appearance. 

Remember, God won’t send you an unbeliever to be your husband (Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 2 Cor. 6:14). If you know the heart of God for you, you will never settle for less. Don’t give in to your emotions, but stand on God’s Word. When you find yourself tempted, never hesitate to pray to God and rest in His presence. He will give you the strength to overcome.

How do I pray for a righteous husband?

Praying to God will help us to know His heart and hear His voice. It is also an opportunity to surrender all our cares and worries at His feet. You must ask God for discernment to prevent the enemy from deceiving you. Many men may court you, but they may not be from God. These men may only keep you away from God’s ultimate purpose. Remember that when God gives a blessing, He doesn’t add sorrow to it (Prov. 10:22). Your husband is a blessing from the Lord. He must not be married to another woman or be full of vices. He lives according to the will of God

God will send you a husband who fears and obeys Him. You will also see the fruit of the Spirit in his life. Is he loving? Is he humble? You must look carefully at his character. A man may lie about his words, but he cannot hide the bad fruits in his life. His life must also reflect true obedience and submission to the Lord.
