5 Ways to Pray for My Husband’s Day

Asking God for his protection and guidance will help your husband stay focused on what matters most—his faith in God’s plan for his life. Here are five ways to pray for your husband’s day so that he can experience joy, peace, love, and protection from above each morning.

1. Pray for his protection

Make it a point to always pray for your husband`s protection before he leaves the house each morning. Pray for God to surround your husband with a hedge of protection throughout the day and keep him safe from any harm or danger. Ask God to give him the strength and courage he needs to face each challenge that may come his way. Here is a prayer you can say to ask for God’s protection over your husband:

Heavenly Father, the outside world can be a dangerous place. I pray that You will cover my husband with Your hedge of protection throughout the day and guard him against any harm or danger. May he find Your protection and strength in every situation and acknowledge them as coming from You. May he learn to entrust his life and his days only to you, his creator. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Proverbs 2:8 is such a comforting reminder that God will protect our paths and keep us from stumbling. I always find comfort in this specific bible verse when I am feeling anxious about the safety and well-being of my husband at work. 2. Pray for his humility

We can all be guilty of having too much pride in our hearts and minds, but it’s important to pray for our husbands to stay humble so that they may continuously grow both spiritually and emotionally. Make sure you specifically ask God to give your husband the grace he needs to stay humble and never forget his dependence on God. A great prayer for humility you can say is:

Dear Lord, we ask that you bless our husband with a humble heart. Pray for your husband’s clarity of mind so that he can thoughtfully consider his decisions and focus on being the best possible version of himself. Here’s a prayer for clarity of mind: 

Almighty God, help my husband stay focused on Your will. Give him clarity of mind to make wise decisions and avoid distractions. May he be filled with discernment so that he can always choose the path You have laid out for him. Help him stay grounded in Your Word and remain steadfast in his faith. Thank You for the gift of my husband and for all that he does. Amen. 

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3 to commit our works to the Lord and to trust Him with the results. Remind your husband that so long as he seeks God’s guidance, He will be given the clarity of mind and wisdom that surpasses any worldly advice. Heavenly Father, I know that You care for my husband even more than I do. Guard him from harm and sickness and keep him in good health. May he always be mindful of Your protection over his life. When your husband is feeling down about his health or struggling with a medical issue, remind him of the promise found in Jeremiah 17:14, that if he trusts in the Lord and does good, He will give your husband health and success. May your husband understand that entrusting his health to God is the surest way to experience physical well-being.
