Sometimes, husbands act in ways that are not conducive to a healthy and happy marriage. They may be selfish, thoughtless, or even downright mean. When this happens, it can be difficult to know how to react.
They may think of their own needs before the needs of their spouse, or they may not listen to you when you try to communicate. This can be frustrating and even make you question your relationship.
You may feel hopeless if you are married to a selfish husband. You may feel like you’re stuck in a bad or unhealthy marriage. Fortunately, there is hope. No matter how difficult it may be, we must remember that our husbands are still human beings who deserve our love and respect, so we should never give up on them.
One way to deal with a selfish husband is to pray for him. Prayer is a powerful tool that can help change hearts. I encourage you to pray if you’re married to a selfish husband. Pray for him and for your marriage. Pray for your family. Remember that prayer is powerful and can heal. There is hope in prayer and it can change everything. Here is a prayer for a selfish husband that you can say today:
Dear Lord,
It’s difficult to live with a selfish husband. He does not seem interested in anything that doesn’t involve him. He is critical, unkind, and uncaring. It is hard to live with him, but it’s even harder to live without him. Lord, I pray that you will soften and change his heart. Amen.

Prayer For Selfish Husband
It is difficult to be married to a selfish husband, as a selfish husband can make life very difficult for his wife. He may not be interested in anything that does not involve his own interests or needs. He may be critical and negative. He may be unkind and uncaring.
A selfish husband can be a good, loving, and caring husband. He can be a great father, but he has to want to change. He has to want to be a better husband and father. Otherwise, things will remain the same.
The Bible says in Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8 that we should draw ourselves near to God, and He will draw near to us. This is true in every area of our lives, including our marriages. If we want our husbands to change, we must first draw them nearer to God. We must pray for them and ask God to change their hearts.

How Do I Deal With A Self-Centered Husband?
A self-centered husband can be difficult to deal with. He may be egocentric, demanding, and even insensitive at times. If you are married to a man like this, you must find ways to cope with his behavior in a healthy way.
One way to deal with a self-centered husband is to try understanding his perspective. What is it that he is trying to get out of life? Why does he feel the need to be the center of attention all the time? Once you understand his motivations, finding ways to work around his selfish behavior may be easier.
It is also important to set boundaries with a self-centered husband. He may try to take advantage of you if you let him. Make sure that you are clear about what you will and will not tolerate from him. This will help to keep him in check and prevent him from crossing the line with you.
Finally, it’s important to pray for your self-centered husband. Pray that God will change his heart and help him see the error of his ways. Pray that he will become more humble and selfless. With God’s help, you can overcome anything, even a self-centered husband.
Remember what the Bible says in I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13, that we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. You are not alone in this marriage. God is with you and will give you the strength to deal with your self-centered husband. Trust in Him and lean on His grace.

Heavenly Father,
I come to You today with a heavy heart. I am struggling in my marriage because my husband is very self-centered and always puts his own needs above mine. This has led to a lot of tension and conflict in our relationship. I know selfishness is a sin, and I want to help my husband overcome this character flaw.
Lord, I pray that You will work in my husband’s heart and help him see the error of his ways. Help him realize that his selfishness is causing pain and hardship for both of us. I also pray for You to give me the strength and wisdom to deal with this situation in a way that is pleasing to You.
I know that nothing is impossible for You, Lord. I believe You can change my husband’s heart and help our marriage thrive again. I trust in Your power and love, and I give all of my concerns over to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please help. My husband only cares about himself and I am the only one working, he gets disability and saves all the cooking and cleaning for me. Even if I cook he won’t even try to help with the clean up and he’s been this way the entire 30 years that we’ve been married. Just plain selfish. He won’t give me anything and wants all of my little money. I know he’s addicted to porn as well and I believe he hallucinates and hears voices and I found out that he was molested as a child. As far as I know he may have only married me to use me. Please pray, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
