Prayers For My Husband’s Family

Your husband’s family will inevitably be a big part of your life. As you and your husband begin your journey together to start a family, you need to consider his family, which is the biggest reason why you are with your husband now. Remember, they were the ones who raised and guided him to be the man he is now.

As our husband’s spouse, we should always consider the things our husband is worrying about in our prayers. His family is one of the things he worries about, as he likely prays for his parents, siblings, grandparents, and other relatives. Adding them to your own prayer list will be a great help to your husband.

“Lord, thank you for the gift of family. I am so blessed to have such an incredible family. I pray for continuous guidance and protection from our enemies. Always be with our extended family. Blessed them with good health and safety. Amen.”

When praying for your husband’s family, you should also consider the family you and your husband hope to build in the future. Including them in your daily prayers so God will know your desires is a great idea.

Prayer For Your Family

Remember, you and your husband will soon start a family of your own. However, starting a family is hard, as sometimes you will forget to consider it because of your career and goals in life. Seeking God for answers is always the key.

“Father, I am grateful for the family I have. I am blessed, as my own family loves me and so does my husband’s family. My in-laws love and care for me dearly. They treat me like their own daughter. Whenever I have problems, they are always there for me. So, thank you, Father, for giving me such a family again.

Father, I know you have set things in motion for us already. We ask that you bless us with the gift of children. If it’s in your plans for us to have one, please, give us a sign if we are ready to have one. The child You bring into our lives will bring so much joy and satisfaction as we fulfill our role as parents. We hope to show our children all the wonders You have done so they know what an amazing Father You are. Amen.”

Prayer For His Family

As you took your oath to become your husband’s other half, you need to remember that you are now part of his family. Meaning, you have become a daughter of another family as well. Your relationship with your husband’s parents and family can affect your marriage in many ways.

There are some cases where, even though you are married already, you may be living with either your parents or his parents. If so, there will be cases where you’ll have misunderstandings with them, as you won’t see eye to eye all the time. These differences in opinion can affect your relationship with each other.

The biggest hurdle may be having conflicts with his siblings. We sometimes don’t get along with our own siblings, so it is understandable that you might not get along with his either.

That’s why praying to God for help is very important.

Here are some key points we should pray for when it comes to our husband’s family.

Pray For Peace

One of the most beneficial prayers for you and your husband is to have peace with everyone. The world is already full of problems, and we can all use a bit of peace in our families! Colossians 3:13 (Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.) teaches us to treat one another with kindness and grace. This also means that we must learn to forgive each other, as well as practice tolerance. As Christians, we are all family and should always treat each other equally. Peace can only be achieved if we tolerate each other; if others wrong us, we must be ready to forgive and help them heal. Remember Romans 12:18 (If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.), which says that even if we can’t control everything, as Christians and for our families, we should always try our best to seek peace.

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

When we are facing some misunderstanding with each other, let our hearts not be agitated, stressed, or anxious, which can lead to irritation with each other. Pray To Overcome Struggles

It is normal for your husband to want to help his family when they are struggling. There will be times when you overthink things and feel taken for granted since your husband is focused on his family’s problems. However, as your husband’s spouse, you should be supportive and pray to God that whatever struggles he and his family are facing will soon be solved.

“Lord, My husband is dealing with some difficult issues right now. I come to You, Father, to help my husband and his family overcome the struggles they are now facing. Please comfort them and give them the strength and wisdom to know what actions they need to take to overcome these difficulties. Help them remember that the struggles they are facing are in accordance with Your plans. Amen.”

Pray For Provision In Their Life

We know that God is a generous God who provides us with all that we need. If we trust God wholeheartedly, then we have nothing to worry about. We should always put our trust in God’s hand and let him be in charge of our lives so that all our daily needs will be provided. Always remember Philippians 4:13, which reminds us that not all our worldly problems will be solved, but it encourages us in our weakness when God’s power is strongest. It tells us that God is in control of everything, and we should always put our faith and trust in him.

“Father, we put our faith in You. We entrust all our needs to You. We believe that whatever we ask if it’s in accordance with Your plan, shall be given to us. Please provide for all my family’s needs, may they be physical, spiritual, financial, or emotional. Chase all their worries away, and remind them that You are always there for them. I entrust my husband’s family’s needs to You, Almighty Father. I know that you will not abandon or forsake them. Amen.”

Prayers For My Husband’s Family

Praying for your husband’s family is a good practice to ensure a good relationship with them. Asking God for guidance on how you can strengthen your relationship with them will ensure peace in your marriage.

Prayers For My Husband’s Family Gathering

Sometimes, attending family gatherings can be a hassle. During family gatherings, issues will often arise, and misunderstandings with one another seemingly can’t be helped, especially if children are involved. You have the way you wish things should be done, but then your in-laws wish to have their way done as well as they have raised your husband. However, sometimes that doesn’t sit well with you, and you might feel upset by it.

That is why, before attending any gathering, on the day or the night before the event, it is important to ask God to be with you. That way, no temptation from the enemy can lead you to say or do anything wrong.

“Father, tomorrow is a gathering with my husband’s family. There are times when I don’t see eye to eye with his mother-in-law, so please help me be patient and considerate of her words. I know that her words and actions are not meant to harm me, my husband, or our children. I know she means well, but you also know that I have different opinions on the ways she does things.

God, jokes are normal between families, especially when siblings are around. Please strengthen my heart to not overthink the situation. Even if the words they say may be harsh and I know they are not true, help me hold back my tongue and not overreact, which can affect the harmonious atmosphere. Make me strong enough to join in and be a part of the fun.

Father, as we gather together. I hope that everyone will be at peace with each other and not cause any conflict that might affect my marriage with my husband. Strengthen my relationship with his family, and give me the Godly wisdom to always take the right action. Father, I entrust everything to you, for with You alone, nothing is impossible. Amen.”

Conclusion

Your husband’s family is part of your life that you can not erase or avoid. They can affect your marriage with your husband. Having a peaceful relationship with them means having a harmonious marriage. When attending gatherings, things might not always go your way. Seek God when things are difficult for you to handle in order to avoid making things worse.
